The course briefed practitioners on the procedural steps involved in advocacy in a trial, including opening, taking of evidence, principles of cross-examination of witnesses, legal argument and closing submissions. It also focused on interlocutory application which was demonstrated by way of a practical example on preparation of a skeleton argument, and the proper marshalling of factual and legal arguments.
