About the Presenters:

Mr. Jay Chong leads Epiq’s Forensic Services team in Asia. He provides digital forensic, eDiscovery and investigations expertise to law firms, corporations, and government agencies. Mr. Chong has an extensive knowledge on managing large scale of ESI collection and providing solutions for computer forensic and eDiscovery matters, particularly in Asia countries and those with cross-border aspects. Mr. Chong often advises Chinese corporations on data retention best practices while complying with local regulations regarding sensitive data. He’s also experienced in handling investigations project from FCPA, China’s anti-corruption to U.S. litigation and arbitration.

Mr. Sebastian Ko is the director of Epiq's document review services in Asia-Pacific, Sebastian Ko supervises review projects involving electronic discovery in complex investigation, litigation, and arbitration in Greater China and South East Asia. Mr. Ko works with corporate, financial institutional, and law firm clients to design and execute strategies to conduct reviews efficiently, utilizing the latest technologies and industry best practices. He also oversees the hiring and training of review teams. Before joining Epiq, Mr. Ko practiced law in a U.K. Magic Circle firm and a U.S. Am Law 100 firm, where he advised banks, funds, retail manufacturers, insurers, professional service firms, securities dealers, and technology companies, and utilities on high-value, cross-border internal investigations and regulatory enforcement, and international arbitration and litigation.

  1. Priority will be given to Solicitors and Trainee Solicitors. Otherwise, enrolments will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
  2. Places cannot be reserved by facsimile. Registrations will only be accepted upon full payment of the course fee and receipt of the registration form.
  3. Course fees shall under no circumstances be refunded. If you cannot attend a booked course, you may transfer your booking to a replacement delegate provided that the Academy is notified in writing at least one clear day in advance of the scheduled course date.
  4. If the course becomes full and you wish to have your name entered onto the waiting list of this course, please complete the enrolment slip and return it to the Academy together with the payment of the appropriate course fee. You will be notified before the date of the course if we are able to offer you a place at the course. A registrant whose enrolment is unsuccessful will receive a refund of the appropriate course fee.
